Head Instructor // Owner

Bill Walker is a transplant from Everett Washington.  He is a Black Belt under 4th Degree Professor Andrew Solheim.  He received his Black Belt in a little over 5 years.  He credits his fast progression to the consistency of training and studying outside of the gym.

In his final brown belt tournament, he reached the podium at Master Worlds, and at Black Belt, he has won multiple tournaments in the Northwest.

Once a guard puller, Bill dedicated the last few years to becoming proficient in the standing position and has studied Judo under the Jason Morris Judo Center lineage under Sensei Nick Irabli.

Bill prides himself on adapting competition Judo techniques to Jiu Jitsu.  He’s known to be a “silly goose” and tries to train and create an atmosphere with the motto in mind “Light Vibes, Heavy Jiu Jitsu.”

OLIVIA

Admin // Brown Belt

Olivia first started training because Bill and Olivia made the decision that she needed to train for 1 year, just to have some sort of self defense capabilities. Then 1 year came and she continued, mainly because Bill & Olivia used their drill time almost like a date night. No phones, no tv or distractions.

Olivia did not love jiu-jitsu for a long time. Once she got her purple belt, she actually started to like Jiu-Jitsu. Now she is a brown belt and is always looking to adapt new techniques.

Bill & Olivia have been together for over 20 years.

ANDREW

The Leader

Andrew Solhiem goes by many names, El Jeffe, The Grand Poopah, Tooter McGavin, Ginja Ninja, and his always famous fantasy football name, YourMomsFavoriteKarateGuy. (2 time champ)

He is a 4th Degree Black Belt and has owned & operated Cascade Jiu-Jitsu for over 15 years. In its inception they were Gracie Barra Everett, and have since gone independant with Cascade Jiu-Jitsu.

Back in the day, they use to call him Opie. But he was known for his dainty stature while having some of the worst pressure passing you could ever feel. He pushes his students to not only be good jiu-jitsu practitioners, but also high character individuals off the mats.

Blue Belt

Acacia is another transplant from Cascade Jiu-Jitsu. Olivia and Bill are currently talking her and Jake into moving to Arizona, and putting them on the website is a way to pressure them.

When they arrive, they will be staples at San Tan Jiu-Jitsu.
